The knee is the joint connecting the femur and the tibia with the knee cap in
front of these bones A broken
knee is a fracture of either of these bones at or near the knee or a
fracture of the knee cap. . Since
the knee supports nearly the entire weight of the body, it is
the joint most prone to fractures. In the picture the bone on the
lower left is the tibia and the bone on the upper let is the femur, You can see
the knee cap in front of the end of the bones.
