Diphtheria Picture

Diphtheria is an upper respiratory tract illness characterized by sore
throat, low-grade fever. one
of the most dangerous aspects of the illness is the formation of a membrane over
the throat, the nose, and into the bronchial
tubes,
which can significantly impact breathing. A milder form of diphtheria can
be limited to the skin. It is caused by Corynebacterium diphtheriae, an
aerobic Gram-positive bacterium.
