Angular Cheilitis Picture
Angular cheilitis is and infection on a patients lip. It appears
similar to a cold sore. The difference is that it is not an open sore and is most often caused by an
infection that is usually fungal but it also can be viral or bacterial in
origin. Other possible causes include a vitamin B deficiency, the
over-closure of the mouth by someone without teeth, licking of the lips,
thumb-sucking, and lip biting.
