Ring Worm Infection Picture

Because of the name many people think that ring worm is caused by a patristic
worm that burrows under the skin. Actually it is caused by a fungus. This fungus
is contagious and can be spread from one person to another. The fungus grows in
a circular pattern and most often has a raised inflamed area circling the out
side of the rash as seen in the picture below.
