Maculopapular is a skin rash that contains both macules and papules.

• A macule is a flat discolored area of the skin. It may be slightly
  raised or indented and is very small.


• A papule is a small solid raised bump. It is similar to a pimple in
  appearance but contains no puss or fluid.

This type of
rash is usually a large area of skin that is red, and has small bumps as
seen in the picture.
